Dale’s curiosity of the human psyche is incorporated into her portraiture. Subjects’ expressions and intentional palate choices unveil their vulnerabilities. While Dale aims to portray subjects as their authentic selves, faces are obstructed by objects or space to represent that, despite our best efforts, it is impossible to definitively know another person.
